Payment Flow

  1. Shopping Cart:

    • Customers browse the products on Erline Store and add items they wish to purchase to their shopping cart.

  2. Checkout:

    • When customers are ready to make a purchase, they click on the "Checkout" or "Proceed to Checkout" button in their shopping cart.

  3. Billing Information:

    • Customers are typically required to provide billing information, including their name, shipping address, and contact details. They may also have the option to create an account or check out as a guest.

  4. Payment Method Selection:

    • At this stage, customers choose their preferred payment method, which may include credit/debit card payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or other online payment options. Erline Store may also offer the option to enter a promotional code or gift card if applicable.

  5. Payment Processing:

    • Once the payment method is selected, the customer's payment details are securely processed through a payment gateway. The payment gateway encrypts the information to ensure the security of the transaction.

  6. Payment Authorization:

    • The payment gateway communicates with the customer's bank or payment provider to authorize the transaction. If the payment is approved, the customer receives an order confirmation.

  7. Order Confirmation:

    • Erline Store generates an order confirmation page that provides the customer with an order summary, including the list of items purchased, the total cost, and an order number. The customer also receives an email confirmation with these details.

  8. Order Processing:

    • Erline Store's backend system processes the order, prepares the items for shipping, and generates a shipping label.

  9. Shipping and Delivery:

    • The order is handed over to a chosen shipping carrier (e.g., USPS, FedEx, DHL) for delivery to the customer's specified shipping address.

  10. Order Tracking:

    • Customers can typically track the progress of their order using a tracking number provided in the order confirmation email.

  11. Receipt and Feedback:

    • Once the customer receives the order, they may be asked to provide feedback or a review of their shopping experience.
